Transport
The Transport sector has been a part of The Oxford Research Agency’s focus since the agency’s founding in 1982. The rail industry has been a key beneficiary of our expertise but our breadth of experience covers a wide range of transport related clients including a number of recent surveys for bus and coach users.
We cover every conceivable aspect of the transport industry, including: ticket purchase innovations, pricing policy, the in-situ retail offer, customer and staff satisfaction, internal communications, brand and advertising tracking/ awareness and integrated transport solutions.
Our research techniques within this industry range from small scale qualitative evaluations (through Mimosa) through to nationwide quantitative surveys covering the whole of the rail network. Our great strength is tailoring the research to meet the specific needs of our clients and this has led to the development of unique, one-off methodologies and state-of-the-art multivariate driven projects.
Adopting a Flexible Approach
In recent years, our ability to examine whether transport related products generate or abstract revenue has proven to be increasingly beneficial to our clients. In particular, we have developed a flexible approach that can be adapted to provide a robust, value for money evaluation of the net effect of special offers/ discount schemes.
“We have certainly learned a lot. It was an excellent project made easier by your detailed knowledge of our business”
– transport operating company
As an organisation, we strongly believe in building long term relationships with our clients. We understand the major industry issues, for example, the potential challenges posed by disabled access legislation and franchises coming up for renewal. This is key to our ability to provide the complete research solution for our clients.
