Corporate Consultation Programme
The Institute of Fiscal Studies has estimated that the next government will cut spending on public services by 2.3% a year from 2011. It will be the tightest spending period since 1977, with some councils predicting that their overall funding could be reduced by as much as 15%.
In response to this challenge, The Oxford Research Agency has developed a unique offer in the form of our Corporate Consultation Programme, which enables councils to procure both participatory budget consultation and a residents’ survey jointly.
Budget Consultation:
- Innovative reconvened workshops
- Use of realistic spend scenarios
- More informed and deliberative than traditional budget consultation techniques
- Please see our Budget Consultation page for more details
Residents’ Survey:
- Combined online/postal methodology
- Establishment of a re-contact database for future consultation
- Live survey monitoring and boosting to ensure robust samples from hard to reach groups
- Innovative use of conjoint analysis to identify priorities and areas for improvement
Integrated reporting and staff workshops are provided to help ensure results are fully communicated and utilised.
Joint procurement of these services has not only resulted in significant savings for existing clients, it has also provided them with more joined-up thinking and actionable results.
“A single approach to Corporate Consultation has saved money over a three-year period, providing reliable tracking data over the business planning cycle. It also has the added value of developing a close working relationship with additional support and advice when needed”.
